Hello!

Take a look at what The Palestra has to say about the solar home--and see our own Erwin McIntosh in action!

Hey Professor Sonnenberg - the way to make a link is, while you're writing a post, highlight the text you want to make into a link (in the case of this post, you might highlight the words "take a look" or "what the Palestra has to say" - it's really up to you) and once they are highlighted, click the little link button on the taskbar of the posting page. It looks like a little green earth, and it has three little chain links above it. (It's to the right of the T with the colors button.) Anyway once you click the button a window will appear that says Enter a URL:. In the little box, you can paste a URL, complete with the http:// (so in this case you would paste in http://www.thepalestra.com/archive.php?id=5060&sid=771). Then just click OK. There you have it: a fully functioning link!

(The thing I like to do is, after typing the sentence out, go back and select the part of the sentence you want to make into a link, and then make the link.)

Hope that helps. I tried to go back and fix the link in your last post but I can't edit other peoples' posts.

    Hi Emily,

I tried that! On my Macs, that cool little link icon doesn't come up like it did on the PC in class last week. Is there any other way to highlight it? Some code that can be entered?

Thanks for letting me know--and for blogging!
